Before the inventory
- If desired, we can take over the coordination with the auditor.
- The setup for the vehicle inventory is based on the individual requirements and standards of the auditor. In addition to an inventory with a visible stock list, a blind inventory is also possible. Furthermore, it can be configured whether photo documentation of the vehicles is required.
- The car dealer receives personal access to the administration website of the inventory app ex:stock for planning and assigning inventory personnel and setting up inventory lists.
- If desired, we can train your inventory team digitally or on-site in advance.
During the inventory
- Your team starts the inventory check of the vehicles in the webapp directly via a QR code. No installation is required. Images taken during the inventory are transferred directly to the database and do not remain on the end device.
- The correct vehicle is selected from the inventory list by entering the last six digits of the VIN.
- Vehicles that are not on the inventory list can be entered manually and stored on an add-on list. You can predefine which data should be collected (e.g. model, year of manufacture, mileage, fuel, etc.).
- The data is transferred in real time to the inventory list and the corresponding geo tags and time stamp are added. With the web-based management platform, you always have an overview of the inventory progress.
- Vehicles that have recently been sold or are on the road with a customer can be also recorded by the distribution team on the web platform and assigned with the upload of corresponding documents, such as a transfer agreement.
- For the inclusion of further team members, the QR code for the current inventory can be flexibly and location-independently forwarded.

After the inventory
- Via your personal access to the ex:stock inventory app, you have full access to the results of your vehicle inventory. The inventory data is added to your stock list and is ready for export and sending to the auditor.
- If requested, we will send the results to the auditor on your behalf.

Why isn't the VIN scanned during inventory?
Even with the latest technology, the VIN scan can be inaccurate. To eliminate the possibility of weather or environmental influences or reflections on the vehicle's windshield, the last six digits of the VIN are entered into the search window. This ensures that the correct vehicle is always included in the inventory.
Does the inventory also work without an internet connection?
An internet connection is required to synchronise the data in the ex:stock inventory app. If the inventory has already started and the internet connection is interrupted, the data will be retained and transferred as soon as the connection has been re-established. The app will show you how much local storage space is still available before the data needs to be synchronised.
How long does the inventory take with the inventory app ex:stock?
Since every inventory is individual in terms of the scope and requirements of the respective auditor, it is not possible to make a general statement about the duration. However, the simple and digital processes result in a significant time advantage, especially compared to physical inventories with printed vehicle lists.
